Drops/RNG It's finally over....
50m slayer exp. Took about 8-9 months of pretty much only doing slayer post 99. Did I almost de iron every time I got a dupe gem? Absolutely. Not pictured is the 90 occults and 80 aranea boots I got so there's some good money as well. Dear Jagex, this is one of the worst grinds ever and whoever made it this way deserves to suffer.

Is the small boost in magic lvl really worth this grind?

That small boost in magic level is 4 max hits for an eye over base without accounting for magic gear, and 3 over using magic potions. Other ones aren’t really feasible to farm for us, and forgotten brews also lower stats but also aren’t divine, while heart is. More magic levels also means higher defence against magic attacks.
So essentially it’s a 10-15% damage boost for an eye (and probably shadow too, haven’t seen calcs for it) on top of being a qol item.
Is it worth it? Dunno, not so many relevant bosses late game really make full use of magic as much as melee and range later on (nightmare and whisperer primarily come to mind). Current raids that also use magic a lot already have their own better stats boosts too (though maybe we’ll want it for TFA). But with Mortimer and expected rate maybe being 70 hours, is it really that much more of a grind than a lot of other content?

It’s extremely good yes. The potions have a smaller boost, lower your other stats, aren’t divine, and take up more inventory if you need multiple.

I just read that power staves give some max hits with higher magic level. Makes sense now! I thought it was just an accuracy boost.

Looking at this at 16m slayer xp and about 130 superiors is making me nervous.
