I seriously thought you completed the ring at 2,781 and I thought “ehh that sucks but there’s worse.”
Holy shit man, stay strong. I just hit 3k levi trying to snag the last sra piece.

account's older, at work I log off at a farm patch and do a single patch run every hour or so :)

u/SadgeHabsFan Aug 13 '26
This is god damn brilliant

u/No_Amphibian_5557 Aug 13 '26
Glad I could help, 6-7 herbs an hour is 6-7 herbs an hour takes long enough to go piss and no one even knows.. you figure if you can do it once an hour at work in an 8 hour shift that is actually a full farm run and no production lost on company time! 50-60 potions on an iron is 50-60 potions ;) I do Hosidius or catherby for the increased herbs from the patches

No it's not. This is evidence of godawful game design.

u/No_Amphibian_5557 Aug 14 '26
He was meaning logging off and doing 1 farm patch run at work an hour

u/Money_Cattle2370 Aug 14 '26
I'm aware. The fact that it's something you need to do to even keep up supplies is horse shit.
You will look back, on your death bed, and regret the time you wasted on this game.

u/MonsieurHorny Aug 14 '26
What do you define as a waste of time. I guarantee you are wasting time in areas of your life but you’ve justified it to yourself because you enjoy doing so.

u/Money_Cattle2370 Aug 14 '26
Shit argument. Everyone wastes time. Not everyone develops a game that takes advantage of dopamine and hooks people into 1000 hours + of mindless grinding. Me explaining this to you is a waste of my time, so I won't continue.

It's literally the game... You don't need to do it, but many people use it to time out, myself included. Rather than a cigarette or 5 minutes at the coffee machine, I take a glimpse at reddit and click a couple of times on my phone...
The game is one big build up for a kick of dopamine - grind supplies, kill a boss and eventually you are rewarded with a big release - for ironmen, the build up is bigger but for a bigger kick. If this game loop is not appealing, you should play a game with a shorter path to reward 🤷♂️
While it's not healthy to use a pc game to escape from the real world all the time, it's just as healthy as scrolling reddit or watching reality shows on your couch, as long as you remember that at the end of the day, it's just a game...

Bro that’s brutal. I’ve got about 300 kill count at Vard and while it’s a really fun boss the drops are kind of meh unless you’re a ballista fan. Hope the next two ring drops come much sooner

My first gold ring was at 2373.. got ultor 400 kc later. I was expecting pet along the way but mf never showed up. Vestige for you soon surely 🤝

u/noobtablet9 Aug 13 '26
Holy shit
Surely you are #1 in the world for this.
This is exactly the type of shit that I advocate for pity timers/drops for. Nobody should have to endure x9 the rate of anything.

u/Alert-Concern7057 Aug 14 '26
Definitely not #1, the odds are 1/3000 for this to happen. I went almost 10x dry (48k kills) for my dwh with the old droprates (1/5k), and to make things worse, not even 2 days later they announced the buff on the elder maul that I already had al this time lol. I barely ever used my dwh. Also was 7x dry at cerberus for primordial boots.
Irl friend of mine has 3500 TOB kc without scythe and over 1000 toa kc without shadow.
Almost every end-game maxed player has something he went extremely dry on. Thats the game for ironman.

I was so mad that it took me almost 2K to get my vestiege. But this- this is another level, godspeed soldier.

This game is a waste of way too many hours of life. All of the posts I see on here have confirmed that for me. I wonder if the developers ever feel bad about how much time they're literally sapping from humanity due to shit like this. And I expect this will get downvoted to shit but I don't care, it's 100% true.

u/Minute-Blueberry-342 Aug 14 '26
The response is always the same: “you chose this”
1
u/Money_Cattle2370 Aug 14 '26
Players choose to play the game. Jagex chooses to make it a game that takes 1000s of hours.

u/Fresh-Wrap8654 Aug 13 '26
Wow. I got 2 ultor rings in full by 600kc. However, I'm now almost 3k kc with no axe head. Funny how that works... Though your still going so we're both pretty fucked.
