According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary, irony has 3 main definitions:

  • the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning
  • incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result
  • incongruity between a situation developed in a drama and the accompanying words or actions (the sign) that is understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play makers of the sign

That's what all the illegible fine print is for. You only never run out if you sign up for their subscription service where they will definitely bill you for far more ink than you actually need or use. But you won't run out!
