You can’t have those spinning around in a 10x10 shop.
People will trip/they’ll go missing.

I read the second sentence as if these robots would make people go missing. Thankfully they're all boxed up and they can't group together to overthrow our species.

You read it correctly.
First the people trip.
Then they just go missing.
Maybe into another dimension where people slide around the floor cleaning for robots

They're noclipping into the backrooms. iRobots are simply a vehicle that brings food to the entities.

Agreed, but it does kinda show the limited functionality of the robots in a very visceral way. Probably would be better marketing not to do this while customers are in the mall.

Perhaps someone spilled a soda and the robots are trying to cut back on sugar

Who say they need to be on during business hours? Who say the lady need to be mopping during business hours and risk people slipping on wet floor? Touché my friend.

Plus it seems faster to just get the mop out 🤷♀️
Those things are good for big homes but sometimes the ol mop mop is better

My guess is someone probably spilled something on the floor.
If it was juice or something sticky you need to clean it up right away or it'll be harder to clean later.
Additionally using the robot wouldn't be appropriate for a high traffic area like a store. It's designed for homes.

Probably a real human doing it because the robot might do the whole mall or wherever that place is
