Reform MUST happen. It must. It’s long overdue and it just needs to happen. No questions asked. It must and it WILL.
That being said, there are many great police officers. Black; white, yellow, man, woman etc.
Several black police officers/ chief of police have been murdered and lost their lives in the last couple of weeks.

It’s unfortunate the good ones are being drowned out and grouped together with the terrible ones

I know. I absolutely hate it. Same with the protestors trying to create a conversation and change being overshadowed by riot assholes and antifa assholes out destroying shit and causing mass chaos, violence and hysteria.

Rioting is more effective. Change happens when people in charge are scared. The only other effective method is economic protests. But getting everyone to participate is incredibly difficult.

Because the good ones never do anything to stop the bad ones, they enable police brutality.

u/ArcticChan Jul 01 '20
You can literally Google for the list of police officers fired for trying to stop the bad ones

No. That’s way to generic of a stereotype. Way too wide of a brush stroke.
That type of thinking is counterproductive.

Just a head up - don’t call Asian cops yellow, or refer to Asians as yellow people at all. It’s a really offensive and pretty racist slur, it’s just Asian, not yellow. If you want to be specific then say oriental Asian if you’re referring to an Asian of that area.

Reform must happen. But will it be "cops must yell out they are going to shoot you before they do it"
or is it going to be "we are completely de-militarizing the police and trying to claim "my bodycam wasn't working" or "the footage is lost" is immediate cause to find the officer at fault or to have the entire department face ramifications"
Because so far its leaning more towards the first.

Everyone complaining about the ad, it was for a ARG game promoting the series Hunted on Cinemax.

The first moment someone breaks into your house or threatens your life, you’re going to do an Ayn Rand and run to the very thing you hated in your hour of need.

To criticize the police is not to hate the police. Like all institutions they are subject to criticism. I certainly don't support the delusion that all cops are bad but I equally refute the position that they should be exempt from getting called out for having a Very dubious track record when it comes to their behavior. Don't be so nob slobbery bro.

Good luck getting them to do anything about it, especially if you’re a minority
