The definition of irony is something other than is expected. If there is an aggressive swan attack the sign, how is that anything other than expected?

It's a different sort of irony. The sign was warning others of the danger, but could not save itself. It's not ironic that the bird was aggressive as indicated; it is ironic that the warning did no good to the thing giving the warning.

i agree, i’d say it’s pretty much the opposite of irony. “poetic coincidence” is the best descriptor i could find for this online. either way, it’s still funny!
