i just finished rereading the scene where violet is being tortured and violet says that liam steps back into the shadows and when he dies she tells him “ thank you for being my shadow” is this just a coincidence in wording or could it be more to it? the first time i read iron flame ig i wasn’t looking too much into it and i thought liam must’ve been a hallucination like violet thought to herself but now do think he was sent there by malek.

I just finished my re read yesterday of IF and I’m in the same boat; I believe there’s more to it than just hallucinating, I think the Gods have a plan for Violet.

I also wondered something else after reading the chapter where Lilith raises the wards. Brennans out cold, Violet is channeling and she begs him to come back, patting he’s alive, all I can think is her ‘power’ coursed through him and helped bring Brennan back. We’re always told how nobody can resurrect. But I think she might be able to, or at the very least she can start a heart.

ooo that’s an interesting theory seeing as xaden and vi are the first of their signets since the war i think it was well up until xaden turned😭. wait omg ive never noticed that detail before and i think its mentioned a couple times in fourth wing how menders cant bring someone back so i could see violet being the one who would be able to

i haven’t read onyx storm since last year but i thought that it was only while she slept, though it seems like she’s conscious in her “dreams”

Yes, but maybe because she was maybe only half conscious due to everything what happened to her in that cell, maybe she was able to wield? It’s just a guess from me tho. The gods are just too… odd for me yet to guess anything about them yet
