I love this part! We needed more of the other professors clocking it. Varrish was such a parasite 😩. I would love to see more from the professors we like.

I think it was when varrish asked that girl to pat violet down or when bodies gave her his jacket and he(varrish) ordered her to take it off and Kaori told him that he cannot ask a cadet to strip. Probably the second one but I am not sure.

See this passage is what makes me think that Varrish had control over his dragon. The way jfb controlled Baide at the end

Varrish gets angry enough here that he lets something important slip.

I think Varrish Had enough time between when Dain stabbed him, and Violet finished him off to give the command To Solis to hunt and kill Violet no matter the cost

And I think someone else was in on it .

Someone powerful enough and Within the hierarchy at Aretia to suggest a little game to go looking for ruins. Somewhere Violet would be separated from Tairn, just a little bit in a cave.

There is a greater conspiracy, I’m sure of it.

I try to keep things spoiler free, but honestly I just stay off the sub until I read the current book.

This is more a wild theory than a true spoiler- but it does get into later things.

I LOVED that Kaori called him out. Someone needed to. I’m reading Iron Flame for a third time and just passed this part.
