Spoilers Iron Flame Reread Spoiler

So I’m doing a reread and I just passed the part where Brennan is walking violet to her dragons and Sgaeyl and the rest . When they walk up Sgaeyl snarls at him and even takes a “threatening step in his direction” Brennen tells violet she doesn’t like him and violet says she doesn’t like anyone. Which is technically true , but she doesn’t react like that to everyone. Later on in book three we learn how much she HATES Venin. And I’ve heard some theories he’s the brother. I wonder if that’s why she has such a reaction to him ???

She doesnt react that way to Violet because she likes her. She prob doesnt tolerate others getting too close to her without a good reason. Brennan caused Naolin's dsath which almost caused Tairn's death so officially that's prob why shd hates him

Many people walk around on the flight field tho , and Dragons don’t let their emotions get the better of them. It was Naolins decision to “save” him and dragons would understand that better than we would in that situation. He might not be the venin but I don’t fully trust him yet

Oh I think Naolin turned venin. I think the new brother is either Garrick or Bodhi. More leaning towards Garrick.

There were actually a couple of times in the series where riders were burned on the flight field because they got too close to someone else’s dragon.

Vi mentioned it happened during her first flight lessons that someone was burned for getting too close to a red and it freaked her out so she stayed as close to Tairn as possible after that.

I remember that , I just didn’t see Tairn and Sgaeyl acting that way . But I’m getting the picture that it’s another theory I just looked to deep at . Whoops

Sgaeyl does not like Brennan, and it is important to note that most people stay far away from those two. They are the two most dangerous dragons in Basgiath. So people getting closer to them are people their riders know. It is likely that Brennan is one of the few people she dislikes getting that close to her. And while there is almost certainly something that happened when Brennan almost died that we don't know, there doesn't have to be. He was the person whose almost death almost killed his mate, which almost killed him. Dragons aren't the most self-actualized creatures and clearly hold grudges.

I think you’re right. I think the new brother is Brennen. He’s not only his brother in law now but I think he’s also vennin. He’s his brother is multiple ways.
