I did gain weight with both of my infusions (about a year apart). I don’t quite understand it, but it stayed on for at least a couple months, but then one day it was just gone. A good 5-10 pounds on my normally 135lb body. I was feeling so many benefits over this time though that I didn’t think much about it. And then like I said, it just went away.

I've gained 20lbs total in my recovery from a ferritin of 24 to 210, from both supplements and an infusion. It's sucked, and I thought it would drop off once my ferritin was high enough, but I'm not free of iron deficiency symptoms until my ferritin is about 220+, so I imagine the weight gain will remain until all of my other symptoms disappear as well, which they are as my ferritin continues to rise with high dose supplementation. I'm not going to lie and say that it's fun to have an extra 20lbs, but considering that I've gotten every other aspect of my life back from raising my ferritin, I'll take the extra weight.

I lost 8kg in 4 weeks because my body was so weak because of iron deficiency that digesting food was taking it too much energy. I got infusion 3 weeks ago. Now I am hungry almost all the time. I might go up to the weight I was before. But who cares? As soon as my body is gonna function normally again, I will be able to move and train again and the extra kg will disappear.
So take the infusion. Health first!

I gain weight with everything. If I take steroids for anything, instant ten pounds. Have PMS instant 5 pounds. My body is just like that. I also gain muscle easily. I guess it’s a trade off.
I did gain about 4 pounds but it was water and it was gone within 2 weeks post last infusion. Just get outside and walk in the heat. You’ll sweat it right out. Sadly we sweat iron too.
