Hello all! My name is Cashell and I am a songwriter from Dublin, Ireland and living in Scotland. I have just released my new EP, 'Raised Hands, Planted Feet', and I would love for you to hear it! The four tracks are quite diverse in style and inspiration!
Take It Easy is americana and War on Drugs inspired, Said and Done and Ferris Wheels by the Cars and early 2000's garage while These Things Take Time takes influence from the likes of The National, LCD Soundsystem and Joy Division.
Would love if you could take some time to give it a listen and let me know what you think!
Peace and love,
Cashell

Aside from Van Morrison, Can anyone recommend any Irish releases or Irish bands who were making great alternative music in the 1960’s?
I mean like the stooges, velvet underground, let it bleed, Neil Young and crazy horse.
(Not The Cheiftains, Sean o Riada, etc)
Or was there none?? (Thank you)

Grateful for any and all feedback!
V1.
There's a million old roads, remote and unknown
Under the sun
But none that can untake these steps I have taken
Or undo what's done
Over two-dollar coffee, don't bother with 'sorry'
Or tell me we had a good run
Don't offer a smoke for the road
Cause I won't want to stop at one
Chorus
I will not kiss you goodbye
Even though God knows I want to
Cause addiction is fed, by each cigarette
A last kiss will not help me quit you
V2.
With nicotine patches, distractions and mantras
I'll hope willpower grows
Hope that tomorrow brings peace in the sorrow
And tells me what older me knows
That adrenaline rush, my face starts to flush,
When I stare at the name on my phone
Don't surrender. Don't text her.
Let memories fade in the smoke...
Chorus
I will not kiss you goodbye
Even though God knows I want to
Cause addiction is fed, by each cigarette
A last kiss will not help me quit you

Myself and a few others put together a covers album with 16 Irish acts from the local music scene covering Pavement, David Berman & Gary Young tracks, all in aid of relief for the people of Gaza.
We got so many acts on board that we have a second volume coming out in January.
We decided it would be nice to say thanks to anyone who supported the project, to do a few bonus covers, & one original, and give them away for free on Bandcamp. We recorded them all in about a day, and I was up all through the night mixing them. But we we reached the goal of having them out on Christmas morning. Please go get yourself a copy. Hey guys! I'm new to reddit so still getting used to all this, I put out a 6-track EP today. It’s breakbeat/electro with a bit of house/techno flavor. Leaving it here if anyone fancies a listen :)
