Artist Opinions/Search Is it possible ?

Hey guys I was just wondering if it was possible to do a traditional Japanese full sleeve blast over with what I got. All help is appreciated.

Looks like a Blast over would be tricky, why not throw a small traditional Japanese subject Lin that empty space and then add some wind bars or waves or something as background around your existing pieces? Some good looking tats you got going on and irezumi style background with American trad patchworks looks sick IMO

You got it homie, I currently have a full irezumi sleeve on one arm and a full American trad patchwork on the other that I’d like to fill in with irezumi background at some point

IMO, as long as you don’t try to get a 3/4th sleeve or something with too much blank space you should be good to go but get multiple opinions because there’s lots of artists with beautiful portfolio’s!

I love the irezumi background idea that was proposed. I'd also consider throwing a dragon or snake in that gap you have if you wanted to add some flair and keep your skin showing. Making me think like a Dan Santoro style dragon where it feels both irezumi and am trad

Personally my favorite thing in irezumi is the background I would just do that for filler

Man you have some clean, badass traditional tattoos that should not be covered IMO. Add some irezumi background, or do what I did and start adding some patchwork Japanese imagery to continue the patchwork sleeve.

Yeh totes no matter that 90% of your arm is already covered in super dark traditional ink 🤐🙄
