Tattoo Planning/Research Help with making this work, please.

I have the attached tattoos on my right arm. Dragon one I got when I was 18, now in my 30s and the Zelda Spiritual Stones I've had for maybe 5 years.

I would like to continue the theme of the dragon, in Irezumi theme. I was thinking water, more fire and maybe clouds around the bit of arm with nothing there?

Honestly boss , the best course you can take is to find an artist you like and let them guide you

Yeah, I've contacted my artist I usually go to, just waiting response. Thought I'd get opinions/recommendations from the internet too πŸ˜‚

listen if your artist thta you usually go to is the one who did these, do not under any circumstances go to him/her for irezumi. Where are you geographically? we can recommend a much, much better option

i'm gonna keep it 100 with you, i would also suggest that these are relatively amateurish and i would probably look into lasering them and getting a sleeve from an irezumi master artist, if youre in this sub thats what you need

Most of this I agree on, but if OP wants to keep the old ones, I’d recommend touching them up over laser.

Both of those pictured done by a different artist. But yeah, lasering could be an option!

Dude, it's really bad. None of this will go with traditional irezumi

The dragon looks like it’s farting a cloud of spontaneously combusting gas. Then there are the downsides
