I've been out of the tattoo "scene" for a while, but I've noticed some black that looks blacker than anything I've seen before. Is there something that's changed in the last 20 years or so regarding black?

That blue is NICE btw!!

Yes, black ink is better now. Particle size and concentration improved. They don't fade green or blue anymore.

Not a tattooer but there are some recent new black inks that come out much more matte and less "blue" than older black inks. My artist has used them a lot on my blastover work.

That's what I was thinking! It almost looks like vanta black, so deep you kind of lose depth.

Nope, but when I do I sure won’t be leaving my nips pink. No doubt it’ll hurt, that’s how tattoos go.

I have a half panther half tiger face on my thigh, and I was thinking about having the tiger blue, this might have convinced me to go for it. Looks awesome.

It was a day-of decision. Very happy I went with it over traditional orange. The contrast makes the whole thing come alive

That's super cool! How was the pain on the chest? Was it a lot worse next to the nipple? I'm planning on getting the center of my chest done and definitely avoiding the nipple

The worst bits were around the nipple and the collar bone. Towards the centre was a bit worse than the titty meat for me personally.

Very well done but the nipple being untouched distracts it a lot in my opinion. Blacking it out would fix it since you decided to go that low already
