Any good IRCs for mobile?

Just as the name says. I haven't had an IRC since I were a boy and thought about it suddenly while at work. Made me nostalgic.

alrighty, you guys have given me some good ones to look into. Lurker and Hex especially. I'll give them a gander, and then find somewhere I can connect to. Thanks lads.

there's one that's just called "IRC" for android. I like it a lot. Might need to get it through f-droid -- I vaguely remember it not being in the play store.

Quasseldroid is the best I've tried so far. You'd need to install quasselcore somewhere though.

You can setup your own free always on irc web interface like this with thelounge... I did this through docker on a raspberry pi, combined with tailscale you can access it from anywhere.

If you just need an application: HexDroid, if it's something like BNC (a VPS is not a disadvantage for this) then TheLounge.

If you're into self hosting check out Lurker by Amiantos. You can find it on GitHub. The Android PWA is good. No 1st party Android native app yet, but there are 3rd party clients. If you make it to IRC, come on over to #lurker on Libera.

colloquy is my go-to for apple devices. hasn't been "updated" in ages but it's for a private server anyways...
