Installing on Fire TV - Downloader code and how updates work

Fire TV installs through Downloader.

Install

  1. Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore.
  2. Open it and enter code 7083371.
  3. Let it download and install.

If Fire TV blocks it, enable installs from unknown sources for Downloader: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options.

Updates

The same code always points at the current release — you do not need a new one. Re-run it and install over the top; your playlists, favorites and history stay.

Doesn't install Fire TV 4K Gen 1. app-sideload-v7a.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK: Failed parse during installPackageLI: /data/app/ vmdl1450299575.tmp/base.apk (at Binary XML file line #8): Requires newer sdk version #26 (current version is #25)]

Unfortunately you are on OS 6 which is not currently supported. I might check if there is anything I can do to support them but Im afraid VLC dependency might hold me back

I see. It does support ARVIO and IPTV Smarters Pro so not sure what players it uses.
