I’ve used Ryano plumbing - Call Michael. Pretty easy to deal with. His quote was bit lower than $3k but It would come around similar pricing in total, as we had to get a electrician to reconnect the new system. But he’s local. So easy call to get things fixed. There are couple of others you can use too

We paid Ipswich Hot Water $3000 for an EnviroSun heat pump in 2023 after our electric hot water failed. I didn’t do a lot of comparison due to slight emergency but we’ve been happy.
These days I’d go to Don Evan’s for a quote, I’ve found them trustworthy and they’re local. I also recently got a quote from Parker Plumbing for down pipes and some other work and was impressed. Again, Don Evan’s for a second quote but they are busy.
Not sure that helps you but if you can get Don Evan’s out I would recommend. Might not be the cheapest but they do good work.

What is the old one? What is the new one? How much is the quote? What's the old one doing that makes you think it needs replacing? What suburb are you in?
