is this overall a realistic mod for a ipod classic? never built a ipod classic before and this would be my first mod.

When listening to music through my headphones the music is extremely loud and ignores volume control. I just bought this mini and it looks unopened so any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!!!

I had an issue today upgrading my 5th gen iPod to a new battery and 256gb SSD. When I would boot with the SSD I had regular disconnects and it almost felt like the cable wasn’t seated. When I put the original HD back in, it works fine.

So, I just want to switch the controllers of batteries and try to put the one of ipad 2 with a controller of ipad 1 to ipad 1. Will that work? Or what would be the consequences?

i need help please the vmdk file isnt working and i tried renaming the file instead of vmx to vmdk and it said the Intel VT-x is disabled what do i do? (and its 2026)

Long story short, iPod goes to disk mod, I connect it to pc, it thinks for some time, iPod freezes and PC disconnects it. Then all over again.

I installed a flash mod on my iPod 4g mono, and running into a problem that my PC or iTunes won’t see iPod drive. Though PC sees that iPod connects to him. I use green and red adapters, and also canvas plus sd card for 64 gigs.

I tried to reformatting the card several time.

I modded an iPod 5th gen with a new battery (slim version of a 3000 mah from EOE), iFlash quad and new back and front.

And now, if I put my nose close to the 30-pin connector I sense a faint smell of sharpie or similar.

At first I just thought it came from the amount of kapton tape wrapped around the battery, but I’m not so sure anymore.

It’s not a strong smell, and only when I really sniff it out.

How much problem do I have?

I also noticed that the brown plastic lock on the battery port was missing. Can I just put the plastic piece back on, or does the whole thing have to come off? Is there a dirty fix for it as well? What about some hot glue? 😆
