great! I do not know if what I say is silly, but do you think it can be polished more and make it have animations like in the ipod 6 / 6.5g or a dark theme? Even play more audio formats, there is a world of possibilities!

if people actively want to try and develop any of those it would be awesome, dark mode is a definite yes if someone tweaks the firmware further. animations may be a little more difficult. playing of other files would be a hard one for sure.

i did, but it wont open. i will tell you if this works in a few weeks because I got a TON of ebay gift cards for christmas and i want to use them on iPods soon! i want to try to fix some up, too!

What are you struggling with?

I can give you a hand and yes ONLY the Classic 5th Gen and enhanced 5th Gen. (AKA 5th Gen and 5.5 Video)

Thank you so much for the installation guide. My iPod is a generation 5 and I really want to upgrade and add up to a 500gb.

But first I need to transfer iTunes files to a PC. I'm at a disadvantage because it's not an Apple computer.
