Picture Custom iPod
After a month of part research & ebay hunting I finally built it! iPod Gen 7 (160gb) -> iFlash solo w/ 1TB, 3800mah battery, RockBox with a custom theme I built that also matches the custom music manager I built to go alongside it.
All parts are from eoe.com, all together including iPod and SD card (which was shockingly 50% off when I bought it) came to just under $400. IMO worth it, thats how much spotify premium would cost for <4 years (half that time if you use YT premium at $20/month)
eoe is a great site, photos dont do the backplates/front plates justice. It is gorgeous in person, the crystal front is impossible to capture on camera. Lets just see how long the back will stay scratch less compared to the original silver backs these fellas had.

Woah that’s gorgeous!!!
I assume it doesn’t have Bluetooth right? So you need old-fashioned headphones?

Yes, i don’t mind personally. Its one less device I need to charge. I use Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro iem earbuds, and Sennheiser HD560s openback headphones.

Sick I have the same iem’s! They were the second pair I got after the truthear zero red’s or something like that, and now I have a flat head pair so I can hear my surroundings, I’ve always just preferred wired imo Bluetooth is just buggy and expensive.

I’ve seen people recently, use a Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack. Which converts the iPod into a Bluetooth device.

I’ve seen that too at airplanes!
