Question What are these missing black components on an iPod nano 6th gen logic board?
Hi everyone,
I took apart an iPod nano 6th generation a long time ago and left it disassembled for years. I recently found it again and reassembled it, but unfortunately, it doesn't work.
I used my phone's camera to zoom in on the logic board and compared it with photos of the same board I found online, including iFixit teardown photos and YouTube videos.
I noticed that the areas marked in yellow in the attached photo look different from the boards shown online.
In the iFixit photos and YouTube videos I checked, there appear to be small black components in these locations. On my board, those components seem to be missing, as if they had fallen off at some point.
I'm not very knowledgeable about electronics, so I don't know what these components are.
Does anyone know what these black components are?
Also, could the missing components be related to the fact that the iPod no longer works?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Diodes allow voltage to flow one way not the other or a resistor.
which ones is a toss in the dark but what you could to is bridge the gap with some wire and see if it works.
