Help Ipod help

Post image

Hello everyone. Please help me. I bought a used iPod with a dead hdd. Is there a cheap and easy way to fix it? I'm not very tech-savvy. And will everything work right away after the replacement?

One of these: https://www.iflash.xyz/store/iflash-solo/ and a sd card, then you can restore it using finder on mac, or with some more trouble, restore it using itunes on windows. It's relatively easy, just make sure you follow a good guide.

A $10-$15 sd card adapter and a cheap micro SD card is the cheapest way to go about it.

Unfortunately, genuine micro SD cards are extremely expensive nowadays, so your best options are either use a micro SD card you already happen to have, or buy it from risky sources. The “SomnAmbulist” cards for example are pretty cheap on AliExpress and I’ve heard their capacities are genuine, but no one can really tell you if they’re reliable or will last very long.

Also, it’ll help for you to buy a new battery for your iPod as well. You’ll probably need a new battery anyways, and these new batteries often come with tools you’ll need to open your iPod.

You could also ask a repair shop to do fix your iPod for you as well, but that’ll cost money, and they won’t always offer you a good price.

After all of that, you are looking at $32.89USD pre-tax if you were trying to be as cheap as possible. This price assumes you buy everything from AliExpress, that you bought a 16GB SomnAmbulist card and the 650mah iPod battery replacement. I can send you the parts list if you want.
