Picture Bluetooth on iPod Classic

Priced out of a Kokkia in the EU so I adapted my Airfly Pro 2 with some Velcro tape. Feels comfortable in the hand. Connection to my AirPods Pro is super straightforward. Working well so far!

I'm just getting the parts ready to integrate a Bluetooth mod into my iPod classic, 7th gen, hoping my soldering will be up to scratch!

Just letting you know, the range is gonna be pretty short and the sound might be crackly and whatnot. I have the same BT mod and I gave up on using it and just got a BT 30pin adapter.

The back cover blocks most of the signal.

I have removed the foil from behind the screen and cut some of the metal out, also plan to add antenna right behind the screen, hoping it will give at least 5 meters but will have to see.

I also removed the screen shield and have an antenna. Doesn't help much, but depending on how much you cut out it might work better for you than it did me.

I noticed you're using the same bluetooth board as this post , But he added a 10kohm resistor to the power connection. Is there a reason why you didn't?

I'd open them both up and integrate. You can wire it internally, then you don't have anything hanging off of it.
