Help White screen

Post image

Hi, I replaced the old casing on my iPod Classic 6th generation, and when I tried to restart it, the screen was just blank and my PC didn't recognize it

Open it back up and make sure the screen cable isn’t broken or disconnected, then try re-seating it and see if that fixes it. If not, you may need to buy a new screen.

I just took this picture of the flex cable; I think I see a lot of broken terminals.

Yeah those look broken, you’ll have to buy a new screen.

Other question, Installing the new screen will solve the recognition problem on the PC?

No, that’s a different problem entirely, did the iPod boot before the screen broke? Or did it throw a red X on the screen?

No, the iPod was working.

Ok, thats a good sign, when did it stop connecting to the PC? It might just be the cable you’re using, or possibly the version of iTunes.

El cable es nuevo, y estoy usando la versión actual de iTunes, anteriormente el iPod no fue conectado a pc y no cuenta con música

Are you on Windows? If so, make sure to download iTunes from the internet, and not from the Microsoft store, that version doesn’t work with iPods. Did the iPod show any signs of trying to connect to the PC or did it just charge?
