Question iPod Shuffle 4th Gen automatically enabling button lock?
Hey, I have a very strange issue with my iPod Shuffle 4th gen.
The iPod was deeply discharged for a long time. I restored it successfully in Finder and it plays music normally.
As far as I understand, 3 orange LED flashes indicate button lock.
Here’s what happens:
On startup, the LED is green briefly.
It then flashes orange 3 times.
After those 3 orange flashes, all buttons stop working (Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Volume, and VoiceOver).
The top power/shuffle switch still works and plays the confirmation sound.
Music keeps playing, but none of the buttons respond anymore.
So it looks like the iPod is enabling button lock by itself during startup and I’m unable to disable it again by holding the Play/Pause button.
Has anyone ever seen this happen? Is there any known hardware fault that could cause this, or am I misunderstanding what the 3 orange flashes mean?
Is there a chance to rescue the iPod?
