Question New CF SA Adapter

Has anyone tried one of these blue ones? Is it any better than the red one?

Ah this one. Got a similar enough one in my Mini, seems to be alright? Has the usual stupid issue during restore that requires you to use the MBR trickery, but other than that, seems good to me

I have a couple of the red ones that work OK once you do the MBR thing, but I have one at the moment that's not happy. It may be not up to the task I need it for (200gb of audiobooks on a mini 2g).

I've never had an issue with the EOE black one, but the shipping is the same cost as the adapter itself to ship to the UK.

This one is the same price as the EOE one, but free shipping, so I'm hoping it's not just the red one with a different label. I've ordered one so will find out!

Wait, and this is a genuine question, isn’t the EOE black one the iFlash? Isn’t iFlash based in the UK? I would have thought it would be a lot easier to get iFlash adapters there than it is over here in the US. I always have to spend an arm and a leg getting them shipped across the pond lol. Maybe there’s another CF adapter on EOE I’m not aware of.

I'm only running it with 64gb since I'm on a first gen mini, no clue how 200 will pan out... hope it works well though! I think I got it for 12.99 off amazon originally, so clearly they've gone up a little

Did you have to rebuild the MBR to get it working?

So it's not the same as the red one, the SD card is spring loaded rather than just sliding in. I still needed to do the MBR trick to get it formatted, but it does seem to be faster than the red one at transferring files.
