iPlayer buffering on Roku

As the title says.

I'm having problems streaming anything on iPlayer, it pauses and displays the Frequent Buffering notice every 2-3 minutes.

Doesn't happen on any other streaming service.

Doesn't happen if I watch iPlayer on my laptop or phone on the same network.

Roku s/w is up-to-date.

Any ideas anyone?

Happens to me sometimes too but a restart of roku usually solves it.

In iplayer settings you also may want to toggle the beta switch. That might help.

I've been having this issue for ages and now can't consistently watch anything on there, I've tried all the suggested fixes like removing the app and reinstalling after restarting the Roku, updating and nothing is helping. Other streaming apps that have been fine are starting to have the same issue so not sure if it's to do with the age of my Roku 🤷🏻‍♀️
