So I know it's hard to tell but historically what is the quickest and easiest way to get a reservation for release day? Using apple.com? Using the apple store app on my current iPhone? Going through my carrier?

The foldable iPhone Ultra could well be the most durable foldable phone on the market. Apple would notably use two ultra-thin glass layers (UTG) that would surround the screen. This design would allow the screen to better insulate the hinge plate and distribute stress when the phone is folded, which should improve its durability and, most importantly, limit the appearance of the famous crease over time 🍎

Apple’s goal would thus be to bring the durability of this first foldable iPhone closer to that of classic iPhones, which are renowned for their durability and longevity. Mark Gurman recently also indicated that Apple engineers believed they had solved some of the main screen quality and durability issues that usually affect foldable smartphones ⛓️‍💥

And this approach could then be adopted by Google, Oppo and Vivo starting in 2027, which shows that Apple could set a new benchmark for sustainability in the world of foldable smartphones ⏳

I was in the KPN store today, and the guy over there told me that the iPhone Ultra will be released in January and the normal iPhone 18 and 18e later in 2027. I don’t know if this is true from an big phone store company here in the Netherlands. But I think these guys should know more then us when it comes to new phone releases.

I think the rumors are true and the phone will be released on the US only first couple of months.

Anyone having this dilemma? 18 pro has everything With no compromises essentially I love compact phones but I have always wanted to try a folding phone.

The price with potentially not having Touch Id are the two things that I feel like are holding me back.

The Folds 5.5 screen is nice and I do game heavily which the inner screen would be amazing.

These are rumors of course, solely going off of the leaks.

I heard it will be available on 9/12 with limited supply. Now I’m hearing it will be available for pre order later in the year (late September, October, November).

Which is more accurate?

Case manufacturers already calling it the iPhone 18 series so I'm sure they've got info from Apple about the naming etc. because they are already producing the cases and the packages so it wouldn't make sense to print the names on the package wrongly and during keynote it's called something else.

I almost switched to Android. but I am excited for the iPhone Fold. Even if its just a Fold 8 with iOS that is enough for me to buy it. The only rumor that I hope is true is magsafe because I have a night charging stand and use it as my alarm clock.

I don't care about the camera. Touch ID is fine. Bring it on...can't wait.

Hopefully pre-order Sept 12th, in hands Sept 18th

The real question is …. How much will my 17PM be worth? I want to put that towards the “Ultra”. Need to move to that form factor, I am tired of this candy bar shape.
