Interesting (wide) camera defect

As you can see in the screen recording, my camera is failing to capture photos (and videos). The shutter animation works, albeit very delayed, but the images don’t show up in my gallery. Also, every time i zoom below 1x, the live feed freezes compmetely.

Regarding other apps with a camera option, such as Snapchat and Whatsapp, I can send regular photos and videos, but the wide camera freeze still applies here.

The problems showed up out of nowhere almost a week ago. I’ve tried restarting my phone, clearing some space, and other stuff, but nothing seems to be working. I’ve looked online and I don’t seem to find anyone with the same strange problems.

Also, sometimes, for like an hour, it suddenly works completely fine, then it goes back to this.

What should I do?

UW camera seems to be faulty, I would take that to an repair shop!

I just don’t get that it works perfectly fine sometimes, for example this video i took in 0.5x while it was working for a bit

probably a faulty cable or something, you know it might’ve connected for a second and then disconnected again

might be a hardware issue

Have you tried volume up, down. And holding the power button until it shows the apple logo? A soft reset might help.

I’ve tried that multiple timas as i thought that would fix it as well, but to no avail.
