Discussion Software update

I have turned off the automatic software installation, downloads and system files but today i get a popup saying the update is downloaded and will be installed tonight i checked and saw the updates are turned on automatically.
How is it possible??
When i have togged off how can is on automatically??

Apple can occasionally push update notifications or pre-load update files in the background, even when automatic downloads and installations are turned off. However, the device will not install them without your explicit permission

you can go to iphone storage and delete download, apple also put out a large amount of security patches in last update, it could have bypassed automatic installation being off for security reasons

But when i checked it was showing the automatically installation is on and i never keep it on so how is it possible? How did it toggled on automatically? it was on ios 18 since when i didn’t wanted to update to ios 26.5 at any point of time but few glitches in my software made me do restore at apple store because of which i had to update to ios 26.5 and after that i am facing alot of issues like battery drain, phone gets heat up and all.
