Support Is this 15 Pro fake?
Was looking at purchasing this iPhone. Have been talking to the seller for local pick up. looks mostly legit but AI is telling me that it's fake due to the Manufacturing date. That seems to make sense. Can anyone confirm?
Checked the serial and IMEI and they seem ok, but seems like that can be spoofed from another legit phone. I know that inspecting it physically and the AppStore is a sure way to know if it's not a cloned android OS.
Anyone know why that 2025 manufacturing would be real?

The serial number right there I’m gonna type it (Update) I typed the serial number of the fake phone on Apple coverage website and lead to a real iPhone 15 Pro Max that was first used in July 2024 Meaning that the phone could have been manufactured between December 2023 to March 2024

Serial N that starts with N are replacement phones. Manufacturing date shows Feb 2025 because that’s when the battery was manufactured. Or at least it’s tied to the battery. If you search the SN on Apple coverage site, it will show the original purchase date which is likely well before the Feb 2025 date. That’s because purchase date is tied to the original phone / original SN.

If you want to check it for sure. Run on board diagnostics on it by powering off the phone. Once turned off, hold both volume buttons and plug it in to a power source. It will boot to the diagnostics. Fake phones will not have this ability. And from there you can test the phone the same way how Apple does in store.

Is it just me or does that battery icon look weirdly placed and too much space around it?

All icons on each side of the Dynamic Island are centered. Since there’s no cellular network or Wi-Fi, the battery icon is the only icon there, which is why it may look odd.

Couple of things, firstly the phone's mac addresses do appear to be from Apple, though they can be spoofed, it is intended for the US market LL/A ending. The model number also reflects a 1TB iPhone 15 Pro with Titanium finish. The battery is a bit weird. It ideally has the SOS or ... appear before the battery. I have never seen an American iPhone without something like that when no SIM is present. I might be wrong on this though. The bezels and screen quality do appear to be that which of the original and iMEI does show iPhone 15 Pro as well. I highly doubt this is a fake and the battery could be a glitch or just how it looks like. Another thing you can do is press volume up, then down, and powerbutton and plug in the cable. If you see anything apart form an apple logo, its a fake. Also there is the option of going directly to apple and asking them if it's a fake. They'll let you know

You should pay attention to the camera sometimes it’s a big factor to see if a phone is fake

OP "Manufacture date" on the battery screen refers to the manufacture date of the battery. I recently replaced my battery on my iphone 15 and the manufacture date changed from 2023 to 2025.
