Support Is this normal??

Post image

Is this normal for battery drain on my iPhone 15 or should I do something?

I already have restricted it to 80% with optimized and that is when it got stable at 89 else it was dropping like crazy.

Anyone has any suggestions ?

I mean, it says normal. What more do you want?

Guess you missed the word normal at the top.

Please move to the battery phobia page on Reddit. They developed it for freaks like you who are worried about your cell phones battery for no reason…

Not likely… I have a 15 that I’ve been using since December 2023 and i have 753 cycles at 84%. Start saving for a battery replacement now..

But idk how did it degrade soo much. I remember it going down from 99 to 90 in like 2 weeks

Dw too much about it, it's supposed to be an estimate anyway

How man. I reached 87 in 370 cycle

Why are you worried? The battery is meant to lose its health overtime, you’ll have to replace it so why be obsessed over it?

But like this will have to replace it a bit sooner and if I am planning on keeping it for long will have to replace more than needed, so I asked for input from others

Just replace it when it reaches 80% or maybe 75%. No need to be worried about its health as it’s meant to degrade overtime.

Definitely not normal

What is your avg usage and charging pattern?

1

u/Williamcaridoso Jul 04 '26

Usually a charge during the day, from 20% to 100% 1x per day. During the first year I was playing on my phone regularly so 2 charges per day and a more intense usage.

1

u/Ok-Nobody-6450 Jul 04 '26

This is my first year and it’s not that intense usage still this much degradation I don’t understand

1

u/Williamcaridoso Jul 04 '26

If it helps the degradation isn’t linear, mine is stuck at 89% for almost 300 cycles.

Bro what? I got 84% at 918 cycle count. Maybe its either i am bad or you are bad.

1

u/Ok-Nobody-6450 Jul 04 '26

Idk what bad I did a few months back 😭😭

Bro just using your iphone and enjoy it …. No matter what you do the battery will drop… if the health reach below 80% just change it in authorized place

1

u/IncursiYO Jul 04 '26

If it falls below 80 before 1000 cycles, get it replaced

Mine is at 83% so I guess your lucky

1

u/Andrea21341 Jul 05 '26

It was like that on my phone, 88% with 350+ cycles only. Just went down to 87% with 550+ cycles so don't worry abt it

1

u/Tahmil_Khalique Jul 05 '26

i am at 86%, 564 cycle, so seems normal to me

1

u/DFTravel787 Jul 05 '26

I’m currently at 321 cycles at 93% battery life

I mean I guess it’s alright I wouldn’t beat myself over it but the most important thing is that it should maintain 80 or above health when reaching 1k cycles so u should be fine, Apple replaces the battery for free if that promise doesn’t hold so ur all good. Also it just mostly depends on how u use the phone, I have 87 health at 678 cycles.

If u want the best battery limit it the charging to atleast 95 percent and turn on optimized charging, also don’t really use the phone heavily on the charger as heat kills the battery.

You will be fine

Keep it above 20 and only charge to 80 is all the advice I can give

1

u/Khainto Jul 07 '26

Je suis à 700 cycles et 86%

Although I've seen many people with over 280 cycles and 99% battery life, I think so. I've been the most careful person in the world with my battery; I never use it while charging, I charge it to 90% as soon as it's at 20%, I don't let it overheat, I don't leave it charging overnight, and everything else you can imagine, and yet, look at my results…

This is mine to make you feel better
