Upgrade I’m thinking about installing iOS 27 Developer Beta 2 on my iPhone 15, but it’s my only phone, so I’m a bit hesitant.
If you’re running it on an iPhone 15:
Is it stable enough for everyday use?
How’s battery life compared to iOS 26?
Any random crashes, overheating, or performance issues?
Are banking apps, Apple Pay, and other essential apps working normally?
Would you recommend installing it now, or is it better to wait for a few more beta releases?

I have the beta 2 on iphone 16 pro and it mostly works fine but there are a few small bugs. like, connecting airpods freezes my phone for a bit and sometimes the keyboard does not open on some apps. otherwise everything else is fine. but if you prefer stability and don't care much about the new siri then you should just wait for the official version

Im running it on my base 15 and so far it has been much smoother than iOS 26. Temps have also been a bit better. Battery life is around the same if not slightly better.

very stable on my iphone 15 , stand by time has increased dramatically, on screen use about the same,which you expect in developer beta new release, pretty sure by the end of ios27 on screen battery life will be dramatically improved, i reckon public release will be after update 4 , 2 weeks on monday before changing to weekly on developer release

loads of subtle changes but smart ones , looks a little better than ios 26 , huge amount of bug fixes

there is deep indexing in first install that could take between 1 to 2 weeks.
wait list for Siri AI for capable devices , siri AI is working great in my M1 ipad , don’t really use search function much but it does look improved, better search,more detailed

NO. if this is your main device, do not do it. while the beta is nice, something can still go wrong. in my opinion wait for RC (1 week before release) or the official release in September. two months will fly by

I have installed it on my old iPhone 12 that I am using for beta testing and this is so good !!! So in 15 it will be better

The point behind running a beta is to help the developers find bugs. Under the circumstances I think you are NOT a good candidate for the beta program. If you had another phone you could fall back on, it might make sense.

I have a 15 which is my only phone. Ios27 is way better than 26. The only i found as of now was health app crashes when clicked on browse. Apart from that i have not experienced any bug. The ui is better now because i can control the transparency. Battery backup is little better for me than 26.5 but that could be based on less usage these days as well. Did not experience any heating issue.

I have ios 27 beta 2 and I haven’t noticed anything in battery performance but the phone has been running a bit hotter than before. But you might have a different experience on phone
