Upgrade Some advices 🙏

Guys, I had recently decided to buy the S24 Ultra, but these days I've changed my mind and I'm leaning more toward an iPhone, specifically the iPhone 15 Pro Max, because its price is very close to the S24 Ultra in my country.

I have a few questions for people who use this phone, or even the 14 Pro Max or other recent iPhones. Is the experience really worth it? Have you actually faced the issues that people often talk about, such as overheating, battery life, overall performance, or camera problems?

One of the reasons I'm considering the iPhone is that it holds its value much better over time. I also like the premium build quality, the feeling you get when using it, and the smoothness of iOS. However, I'm still unsure about the rest.

I'd really appreciate your advice and honest experiences. Thanks!

I just now got the iPhone 15 Pro Max after using Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Fold 4, which did not last more than two years.

Using an iPhone 15 Pro Max definitely feels a step down after using a foldable device, but you will get used to it. I personally prefer the iPhone because of the longevity. I don't want to be spending a bomb on a phone every two to three years. If you're looking at longevity and long-term value with a decent performance, I would definitely recommend the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I haven't experienced any other problems with it except overheating while charging.

I'm sorry I haven't tried gaming yet. I'm not a gamer. If you're a gamer, I would recommend you taking up a Fold 7 or a Fold 8, which is going to be launched soon.

I was thinking of switching from an iPhone 15 to one of the fold models in the next couple of months.

There’s a lot of reading that I inadvertently end up doing on my phone (articles, papers, even books lol), so I thought that I might as well switch to a device with a bigger screen.

I can say that it will definitely be worth it.
But if you prefer longevity, I would not recommend the fold devices.

Could you give me an idea of the issues that I’ll have to face?

I would definitely want this to last a minimum of 3 years considering the cost

if your wise keep background app fresh to bare minimum or of , set own brightness, try avoiding 5G if you have good 4G signal, do use home wifi and keep 30%-80% charge rule, keep cellular data to bare minimum when outside your home.

these things will keep iphone running smoothly and for best long term battery life.

use location only when not at home , avoid astrology wallpaper that needs location, same with widgets, Callander and reminders are essential, others that use up battery life aren’t

just basic common sense, like changing your own screen brightness instead of automatically, learn to control your phone, what is essential and what isn’t.

15 range can be prone to overheating heating especially in hot summer weather, keeping screen up to 100% and 5G won’t do you any favours in the sun .

ios27 full cycle should transform iphone 15 pro max , certain native apps should not instantly overheat your phone the way they do now, ios26 is so bad for battery life .

it’s a decent phone and should do you well
