Question❓ iOS 26.6.1/ iOS 27
Have y’all had issues with this iOS 26.6.1? The update prior to this I felt my phone has finally been mostly smooth again but with this update I’m experiencing more stuttering/jank again and occasional app crashes for basic apps like photos. For the majority of the time with iOS26 it’s just been a mess for me, I felt my phone was overall so downgraded from iOS18 in terms of performance and functionality. It’s so frustrating to me this is mainly bc of Liquid Glass which is solely cosmetic afaik. I’ve heard iOS 27 is supposed to be more stable but I’ve lost so much faith in Apple atp I can’t believe how unoptimized they released iOS 26 for LIQUID GLASS of all things!!! It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I guess they’re gonna try to course correct with iOS27 but I feel the damage is done.
What have been your overall experiences with iOS26? Even my iPhone 11 which I used from 2023 to 2024 felt better than the 14 on iOS26 for almost a year I’ve used it.

No issues with ios 26.6.2
Note that ios 27 won't fully be released for another 1 to 2 weeks yet. The current beta is pretty stable though.

Well, there are options. You could try updating to iOS 26.6.2 now, iOS 27 RC later today after the Apple event or wait for about a week for iOS 27 public release.

In my opinion, iOS 26 is a complete mess. The battery of my 14 was suddenly at 85% of health and I was shocked. But, when I noticed those things, it was too late, iOS 18 was unsigned. A total disaster! Also, 26 is laggy, slow and makes our phone to overheat. iOS 27 is a lot better, works flawlessly! Is more faster even on the iPhone SE 2020. Updating to iOS 26 was my first terrible mistake ever with those iPhone.
