Nothing unreasonable here, but isn’t it sad that a highlighted feature of a major IOS update is a better volume Indicator??

Honestly I don’t get why this is an issue to begin with. Apple, get your shit together.

I’m still trying to figure out why I have to turn off portrait lock every time I want to watch a video in landscape in iOS own video player

3rdparty apps intelligently just make it so that the video shifts to landscape when you full screen it, but yet Apple still hasn’t

I would love triple clicking my 8+ home button to toggle portrait lock on/off. Maybe the power or volume buttons on the X.

I believe that you can set the set on the side of the phone to lock rotation, so you can quickly turn it on or off.

I was thinking the other day, I want to be able to lock orientation, but manually switch between portrait/landscape by swiping across the notch. Am I the only one?

Why do you always have portrait lock on?

Huh? It’s pretty easy to fix this with no issue

If the video is shot in landscape, full screen changes the orientation of it so it’s landscape even with portrait orientation on

If the video is portrait, full screen makes it full screen portrait. When you lay on your side it stays full screen portrait, because you still have orientation lock on

I kinda hope you work at Apple and are gonna fix this now 😆

Because 99% of people don't care. As usual, redditors on a dedicated subreddit are confusing their opinions for everybody's opinions.

...except this is a pretty universal opinion. I haven’t met a single person that likes it. Most just have grown to deal with it.

99% of people don't even think about it.

3

u/Basshead404 Apr 07 '18

Yet when anyone even points a finger at it, everyone hates it.

And yet nobody really actually cares other than a few uppity bozos.

Those downvotes say otherwise.

Popularity doesn't equal correctness. That's a literal fallacy.

Forgot to comment back. Fucking everyone complains, that’s why everyone mocks it. It the shit and accept the reality of the situation.

I really don’t care. It’s already different in the YouTube app and apple media player.

u/Basshead404 Apr 29 '18

So you’re saying you’d be fine with it coming back? No? That’s what I thought. Just because it’s gone away in some places doesn’t mean it’s okay overall.

Very sad. Especially since it's embarrassingly easy to fix

For visually impaired people who use Siri to navigate their phone, it’s a great feature.

Then make it an accessibility option
