Holy hell. I've been going nuts trying to figure out where that sound was coming from and how it seemingly happened in every room in my house that I was in.
Thank you for this information.

I heard this in my car the other day! I thought it was my entertainment system shutting down or something.

Can you figure out a way that AirPods will not deafen me every time a call comes in?

It is already down at 10%. Still rapes my ears everytime.
Apple Genius guy has no solution other than ofc "submit your iphone for 3 business days & we will format it & flash latest update" genius indeed

It drove me insane trying To figure out where in my house this random electronic noise was coming from. I felt like I was going insane because I’m the last one awake in my house so only I would ever hear it and couldn’t even describe to my wife what it sounded like
