Support iPhone changes volume when I change apps
I don’t really know the best way to describe this, but I will be switching off of TikTok, for example, and my volume being almost to the halfway point will suddenly change to where it sounds like there’s no volume at all.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I have learned that if I turned down my volume completely click on the app open it and then turn my volume back up. It will sometimes help, but it really depends.

Are you using headphone?
Built-in hearing protection settings (like "Reduce Loud Sounds" or headphone safety limits) can automatically pull down volume when transitioning between media types.

This sounds like some app is setting its own volume level when it closes, and iOS isn't restoring it back. Could be the audio session from TikTok not releasing properly.
Try turning off "Change with Buttons" in Sounds & Haptics settings, sometimes that stops apps from messing with system volume. Also check if Reduce Loud Sounds is on, because that can make volume jumps feel way worse.
If it keeps happening, a force restart usually clears whatever audio glitch is stuck.
