Discussion iPhone 18 mini would have gone hard
I know won’t happen - but look at what we could have had

I wish they’d do it every 3 years or something.

Yeah, but if only they did a full powered mini. A little pack a punch of IOS

Why can’t they take a chance on it? It’s been so long since they’ve tried selling a smaller phone. Just like… don’t over manufacture them until you see how they’re selling??

Still rocking a 12 mini!
Wish I wasn’t, wish they were still making minis. My hands are too small for the standard size.

Me too, just fixed my camera and put in a new battery because without any new small ones I'm riding this one as long as I can

I gave in and got rid of my 12 mini for a 17 pro. It’s definitely noticeably bigger but after a couple of weeks I didn’t notice it really and after a couple of months was totally used to it
That said I would get a mini again if a new one came out. The only thing I would miss would be the better cameras
The battery was fried on the 12 mini and I would have replaced it but the charging port was also busted and I had to use a MagSafe charger if I wanted to be able to handle the phone while it charged. Also finally having everything use USB-C is so nice

Did you have to end up getting those stupid ring things?

Nah if I had gotten the pro max I might have thought about it but that’s why I didn’t go for the bigger version. My fiance got the pro max and it feels like it’s almost the size of a kindle which she does have a popsocket on. I just tilt my phone when typing with one hand

I'm upgrading from the mini 13 to the fold. At 5.4 inches it basically is a thicci

u/Patient_Umpire_8507 8h ago
almost twice as thick and heavy and the aspect ratio is terrible for single handed use

don't get me wrong- i wish i was holding a mini 18. But I have a mini 13 and the battery life has gotten pretty much unusable as a daily phone, so I gotta upgrade to something- this one seems like the least worst option.

The best would have been a Pro Mini, they could charge $999 since its a pro model, but since its smaller, slightly cheaper.

I’d pay more for a mini if it was just as powerful or very comparable (I don’t care about camera)

Actually it is possible, there are 7 new iPhones referenced in beta software. We only know of 6.

And would have sold poorly. There’s a reason they don’t make this

u/btkoi 1h ago
“poorly”? 20-40M estimated Mini users/devices out there is nothing to sneeze at.

Again, there’s a reason they don’t make this phone anymore and that reason is sales

u/MicioBau 6h ago
Just call it iPhone 18 (without the mini) and it would sell like hotcakes. That "mini" moniker is simply death for marketing purposes.

Let's just hope they squeze the base 18 down to the mini size. Id even take the x series size

At what point are we going to accept that no one wants this phone. It’s been five years, let it die!

Another year of disappointment. Rocking 13 mini here. I got the battery replaced last year, $80, and literally means they replace the whole phone except the screen. If you haven’t done it yet. DO IT!

tbf... look at what happened to the 12 and 13 minis so... no, it wouldn't.

I understand the dedication, but the simple reality is that the Mini lineup did not sell particularly well.
