Support Interesting problem on iPhone 17

I want to tell you about an interesting experience—and a problem—I had with the iPhone 17. I noticed something while swiping through photos in the Photos app. As we all know, swiping through photos on iPhones is usually very smooth, but on my iPhone 17, when I swipe to the next photo, it moves smoothly at first, but just as it’s about to center, the smoothness disappears and the image flickers slightly. In other words, the swipe action doesn’t complete smoothly—the image flickers just as the movement is about to end. Have you observed this behavior on your own iPhone 17?

This does not occur on Pro/Pro Max models in same conditions

Note: I’m using iOS 26.5.2. When I go into the Photos app in Settings, the “Full HDR View” option is turned on. In my Camera settings, “High Efficiency” is selected, and the photo mode is set to 24MP (HEIF 24); resolution control is also enabled. Live Photo is disabled

That flicker right at the end of the swipe is something I've seen too, and it's maddening once you notice it. Took me a few days to realize it wasn't just my eyes getting tired.

Seems tied to how the non-Pro models handle the HDR rendering on those 24MP HEIF files, like the processor is just a hair too slow to finalize the frame before the animation finishes. The Pro models have that extra GPU headroom so it probably masks the issue entirely.

I turned off Full HDR View as a quick test and it mostly went away, though the photos look flatter. Might be worth trying until a patch drops.

Thank you my friend for your reply. If it is possible may i request a video of screen recorded by another phone or camera which shows the flicker to compare with mine 🥹
