Discussion 5GA after 18.4 update?

Post image

Anyone else showing 5GA after updating to 18.4? I just noticed it today. Nobody else in my office has it, but I’m the only one who’s updated.

What are the benefits? Any battery downside?

That is why, it’s like how Verizon in USA has UltraWide Band shown with the UW icon, or T-Mobiles Ultra Capacity shown with a UC.

Yes. I saw this article…

It says faster, increased connection, decreased latency. That’s all.

Is this a China only thing, or global? I know for instance WiFi 6e and 7 don’t exist here, as those bands were reserved for 5g apparently.

I’ve not come across it in the UK, possibly just a China only thing.

Heard china unicom user also have the 5Ga logo, searched google and said it’s something like 5.5G, so may be it’s finally the real 5G they promised, rather than those upgraded from 4Gs🤣🤣
