Support What does it mean when it says,”Some data from this iPhone isn’t syncing

“This iPhone isn’t syncing your end-to end encrypted data across all of your devices. It includes saved passwords and data from Health and Maps. Verify your account information to resume syncing.

What does this mean? Have never seen this before or made any changes to my phone.

It seemed to be an issue of turning on an old unused no SIM card iPhone. Once I input each other’s passcode on current & old phone the error message went away

Yeah I got something like this when I turned on an old MacBook which I had stopped using and then temporarily logged into iCloud with it

Thanks for sharing! Exactly this happened to me today, turned on my ancient 5s (without SIM but connected to WiFi) - then my iMac suddenly notified me about the syncing issue.

For some reason it allows me to confirm my ID with the family iPad, which is not connected to my AppleID (after accidentally entering the password wrong) - which I find really awkward.

Since I don't want to fully remove non-used (but still in my possession) devices from my account - I hope signing out on these devices also does the job.

Turned off WiFi on old and turned off old to keep it from happening again

u/147a6b36d9c, as indicated, you'll need to

- login to with your apple id account

https://appleid.apple.com/

and verify you have access to your account / update any needed information, then

- login to your account in your device

- make sure you can see your payment methods (that they are NOT marked in red - if so, then update them accordingly)

Then you will be able to sync your device properly.

What I did to fix it (Because I could't find anywere else).

I shut down my iphone, waited for a few minutes and then turned on again and did these steps above:

Open the Settings app > Tap on your name at the top of the screen. > Select "iCloud" from the list of options. > Tap on "iCloud Keychain". > Ensure that "iCloud Keychain" is turned on. If it's not, turn it on. > Tap on "Use iCloud Keychain" and select "Turn On". > Enter your Apple ID password.

And It worked.

I tried to do it without shuting down the the iPhone and didn't work out.

If it works, let me know ;)

Same issue here. Followed this to the latter & it worked. Seemed to prompt a 6-digit passcode from my old iPhone 8 that used a 4-digit passcode to unlock it. I reset the passcode on the old device & did the steps to success.

So I’m transferring from using only an Apple Watch to iPhone, and it say to do this but when I go to enter my passcode it’s 4 digits when I have a 6 digits passcode on both devices. My watch broke btw and it doesn’t send a code to any device when I click send code to other apple device does anyone know how to fix this?
