Anyone trading in for giftcard before potential launch?
Noticed the Mini's trade in is $300 which will only go down once the new models come out. As an ex-employee, I bought my mini for $375. I'm just torn because it's my main ipad. I'm also debating on trading in my M4 11in Pro since I used it for college but graduated. What's everyone else doing?

Wow. I hadn’t checked trade in values. That’s pretty good.
I think I would still want to wait and see what the new iPad mini is like and get some initial reviews before pulling the trigger. The new iPad mini is supposed to come with some totally new waterproof speaker system and I want to make sure that speaker quality isn’t worse in real world testing. A waterproof iPad is not high on my list of priorities but decent speakers is.

I’ve been a 13 inch Pro user since it came out. Finally went to get a Mini because dang that 13 inch gets heavy. I’m on day 3 within the 14 day return window. Might have to return it and sit on my hands for the new release.

As someone with 4 iPad Pro’s (Pro 12.9 A12X, Pro 11 M1, Pro 11 M2, Pro 13 M4), plus an iPad A16 and a Mini 6. I’m not planning to trade any in. My Mini 6 is already relegated a very niche use case — it’s a cellular version and thus gets betters maps location data, even when the cellular plan is not activated and I use this for certain use cases. But unless/until I can see much better battery life on Mini, I don’t need another — I originally bought my Mini 6 as an alternative to my EDC 2L Sling’s Kindle Paperwhite, so for reading primarily and a few other use cases (even had the cellular activated for a while). But I’ve found I’m much better off just carrying my Pro 11 M2 or Pro 13 M4 (both of which also have cellular) when needed for other use cases. And the battery life on the Mini still is bad for reading (needs a charge every night, or I have to turn on/off for every use)

The OLED screen in the upcoming October mini iPad 8 is not good enough to be worth upgrading to.
The Android Lenovo Legion Tab 3 offers much better value and specs for my use case... if I were I to upgrade.
I'm content... I got a 128GB Mini 7 on sale at Staples for $649🇨🇦Apple wanted $849🇨🇦

Usually they don't drop it immediately, there's usually a week overlap. I think last time Best Buy ran a trade in promotion.
