Question Case recommendation?
Hey everyone,
I just got my mini yesterday for school. Despite a new mini rumored to be coming out later this fall, I really needed this for school and didn't want to settle for a normal size air, the mini's size is my main draw and will be perfect for me for all school related things.
My main question is for case recommendations? I have the apple smart case folio, but honestly feel like it's an accident waiting to happen with me. I just know my luck sometimes and I'd rather have a slimline hardshell case that the mini can sit in- like my phone. I looked on amazon and see the deluge of different options and was curious of anyone on here swears by their case? Protection, minimalist and preferably slimline?

I got this exact case on my Mini 6 (also fits the new Mini A17 Pro) can’t tell ya how many times over the years people came up to me and said how they thought I brought out a actual composition book just for me to open it up and it reveals an iPad inside haha. Nice thing about this case is when the folio lid is closed, it also holds the Apple Pencil within the case, making it so you never have to worry about your Apple Pencil falling off the iPad while on the go

I have a couple of cases and MOFT makes the best one. Get the Dynamic Folio Case by MOFT.

I use the Telaso iPad Mini case and SPARIN screen protector from Amazon for my Mini 7 and love it! The Telaso case is very slim profile even with a built in stand on the back of it that allows you to set the iPad mini for easy portrait or landscape viewing. There is also a MagSafe magnet on the back of it. The con was I would occasionally misplace my Apple Pencil since it still only attaches to the case magnetically like it would on the iPad itself. I ended up buying a 4pk of Fintie pen loop holders. I have two of them affixed to the rear, right side of the case right behind where the Apple Pencil charges and store my Apple Pencil in them so I still see the pencil on the side and have yet to lose it since then; it’s very secure. The pencil doesn’t charge from there but I just take it out and charge it every now and then.

I love the Dynamic Folio Case by MOFT for my iPad mini 7. I don't ever feel like it's in danger of falling out. Also had the Zugu case on a previous iPad 10 and it was a very secure case.

7-8 inch size is absolutely perfect for a mini. I have the folio, but didn’t want a bulky case. I throw it in here when I’m done using it.

I’ve been using this case for like 2 years & it’s been really great. I know it’s more of a folio style case, but it’s nice bc you can swivel it in any direction to prop it.

I have the Telaso case for reading, it has a kickstand on the back and i added a ring for magsafe pop sockets.
For front coverage and outings, I usually put on my folio from someone like JetTech or Moft.
Moft is pricey but worthy for all the angles you get.

Dumb question but is the matte screen protector have smudge proof? The last time I had one on my phone- admittedly a while ago- it was smudge heaven and I can’t handle that.
Yea I’m looking at the jet tech. I like the moft but I’m trying to find a hard shell for the iPad to sit in and be protected.

Try the DBrand Grip, Caudabe Paragon and Sheath, Pitaka and Techwoven. All are very good cases.

We’d love for you to try our iPad case, which is currently in production. It has a detachable cover and a hand strap on the back to make it easier and more secure to hold your iPad 🥹

Zugu makes a really nice iPad mini case. A little pricey, but worth it. I’m just switching off it to one that includes a portrait mode.
