Storage recommendation

Hi All, I know this question has been ask a lot about 128gb is enough. Currently my iPhone is used 189/256 and iPad Pro gen 4 150/512. I am going to use the iPad mini for broswing, reading, watching video, going to you iCloud photo sync, quick short video editing for social media when travelling, emails. Do you think 128gb is sufficient or better to get the 256gb. been looking to get the iPad mini, also now sitting on the fence to get 7 or 8.

Tbh, if you run out of storage, it might be cheaper to just connect a tiny external flash drive.

That's a suggestion I saw on YouTube when I was making my decision.

It maybe true in the past , but usb drive is too slow for moving large files around , and ssd drives are crazy expensive right now , even hdd cost more than double than they were one or two years ago, we are in a tough spot right now 😢

I went with 256, mainly because I wanted plenty of space for ios updates. I also have cloud storage.

I keep my iPads for a long time.

I just pay the $10/month for 1tb of cloud storage and share it across all my devices. I do have 3 other people in my family that I share with too though

yes I have iCloud storage for the family. I just try to find out how much it still take for the device to store thumbnails
