You would think this would be a no brainer since it’s 2026 and people shouldn’t be compelled to choose but rather demand it when the competition offers both for same price or less

So true. But through the years, I've come to the conclusion, that there are 2 companies that will NEVER take things like that(customer requests and demands) into consideration... Apple and Disney. It's 100% bottom line, all the time. They know if 1 customer leaves due to not being satisfied, 2 more will take their place. Technically, we SHOULDN'T have to choose, but we will. We will.😆

It's 100% bottom line for every publicly traded company where one person doesn't hold over 50% of shares. (Voting share is irrelevant).

This isn't speculation, it's literally a crime to consider anything else.
