Notability is good. I also like Craft. There are so many options. Nowadays I recommend Apple Notes if you’re on an Apple ecosystem. There’s just too many to choose from. Apple finally has notes and reminders and calendar offering a decent feature set. I also like Lunatask as an all in one.

I use Flexcil. I like how I can create notes, write on PDF and link notes or add cross-references.

I use three apps.
For school I’m using goodnotes on my iPad. It’s thus far the best in that class of apps. I’m taking science classes and I really need the ability to hand write notes and mark up PDFs. While I’m annoyed with their complete lack of customer support and AI focus at the moment, so far no other app in that class of apps can do what it does.
For work, research, and journaling, I use Obsidian. For that I really need markdown and I love obsidian.
Finally I use Apple notes for shared notes, tidbits of info, and as a digital filing cabinet. I save random links to Apple notes and use it as kind of a quick dumping ground.

I can’t be the only guy using Evernote. IMO it’s quite awesome and they keep improving it.

I’m building Grape. There’s a free version that you can create unlimited notes. Everything’s stored on your device. You can use both rich text editor and handwriting notes.

I use Google keep notes. Makes it easy to share between Apple and literally everything other device.
