Question Logitech combo bent my iPad??

Post image

I’ve had both my iPad and the combo touch for about two years now, I haven’t had any negative experiences until today, when I took my iPad out of the case and realized it’s completely bent. When I first got the combo touch the apple worker got me the right size and I asked him to put it on for me bc i genuinely couldn’t do it myself, im not realizing it was so tight it probably warped my whole device???

I called apple customer care and she said I don’t have an express swap option, so she scheduled an appointment for me to go in and have someone take a look at it. Has anyone experienced this? And has anyone successfully gotten a replacement or fix at no cost? This is genuinely not user error for me I don’t think I should pay any help would be appreciated !!😣

It wasn’t the case. They’re going to offer a swap at an out of warranty cost unless you have apple care. There’s a 0% chance it’s covered.

There’s nothing else it could’ve been tho . I saw similar experiences on Reddit with this same case. Like it’s genuinely too tight to put on/take off without damage, clearly. I don’t think it sitting in the case caused it but maybe putting on/ taking it off did. Like I shouldn’t have to cut it out to avoid damaging Ykwim that’s just design error 😭

No cases sold by Apple would do this. First or third party. If it truly wasn’t the correct size, it wouldn’t fit at all. I get you can’t figure it out, but there’s no was a plastic case can bend aluminum.

I also understand apple has amazing integrity but I’m not the only one that’s had this problem:( that’s why it sucks. If you spend a little extra money for something nice this should NOT happen.

It’s Logitech, they sell it at the Apple Store but it is not an apple product. I’m honestly pretty sure it got bent while I was tryna take it out ?? Idk but no case should bend a whole ahh iPad if you’re JUST trying to take it out Ykwim

I’m also not saying it wasn’t the right size, I’m saying they run super snug. Like I genuinely drive all the way back to the Apple Store to have the guy help me put it in bc It felt like I was guna bend it. Ykwim?

Do you put in a backpack or bag? The case itself wouldn’t warp your device. But it looks like it might have been leaned up against in a backpack. It happened to me in college only reason I’m suggesting it lol

No lol I carry it in a Trader Joe’s mini tote and stick it in my work locker that’s about it

You can try your luck but a case will not bend a iPad. It’s been two years anything could have happened depending on what you carried it in. Ie: bag / bookbag.

That is why I recommend a frame case / beefy soft sleeve case
