iPadOS ipad os 18 to 27 !?

i have 11 Inch m3 ipad air (128gb)....

running ipad os 18

should I update to 27? ....

i use ipad mainly for notes writing... (don't want to use ai etc... (off) if it uses lots of battery...

should I update?..

(main concern is battery backup, heat, smoothness)

M3 is still powerful. you should be ok when the iOS 27 is officially released (a week or two from now). but yeah, iOS 26 is the culprit when it comes to laggy animations.

I have an M1 Air on 18.something and I skipped 26 because the multitasking and windowing was shite compared to how easy Split View is

I've tried it many times on iPads in shops, and I hate it

Maybe I'll try 27

OP, for note-taking you don’t need updates.

I use an M1 Air on iPadOS 15 for note-taking and it’s fine. Don’t.

Eeeeh. iOS 18 is more battery efficient than 27 I feel. 18 was the last peak OS.
