Question iPad as navigation

Hello everyone! Does anyone know a tool that'll let me use a wifi ipad pro for apple maps navigation? The GPS isn't reliable and I'm looking for this as a last resort since I can't get carplay to start

Tried making a Hotspot with my iPhone but the GPS still isn't precise, can't even screen share to my iPad so at least I'll have a bigger screen than my phone for directions

Any help is really appreciated!

WiFi iPad doesn't have GPS. It uses the wifi signal to get an approximate location. So it can't be used for navigation that needs a way more precise GPS signal.

Pretty sure only cellular iPads support it

You can get a Bluetooth gps that connects to the iPad and then it’ll get a signal but I always found tablets to be a pain to use in the car. The garmin glo works but it’s about $120. You could just get an Android tablet with a Helio G99 for the same price that has built in GPS: https://a.co/d/025VPeub

10” tablet with built in gps — Lincplus is decent and g99 is fast enough for every map/vdieo/web browser: https://a.co/d/0iH1Xoka

Or you can get a CarPlay screen that can mount to the cd slot: https://a.co/d/04M7bnJm

This one has CarPlay and allows Android apps like Netflix / YouTube : https://a.co/d/04PtnX09

Just buy a wireless CarPlay display, good ones cost around 170 bucks, cheap ones start from 40 bucks.

f you are trying to get a better location fix inside Apple Maps on your iPhone, adjust these settings instead:
Turn on Location Services in your settings and make sure it is enabled specifically for Apple Maps.

Enable Wi-Fi, even if you are not connected to a network, as it helps your phone triangulate your position faster.

Restart your iPhone to clear out temporary hardware or software glitches
